  • Issue#322866: Lenovo - Yoga 900 Intel Driver Issue - Windows 10 Maps

According to Intel, the Yoga 900 uses a customized computer manufacturer video driver for the Intel HD 520 graphics chipset.  Intel's standard driver (15.40.14.64.3452 released 12/22/2015) appears to address an issue I am experiencing with Microsoft's Windows 10 Map application as well as a map-based application I personally am developing that relies upon the same map control that their map application uses.  The current Lenovo driver (20.19.15.4326) is dated 11/18/2015 so I am fairly confident it doesn't have the 'fix' reported in Intel's 12/22/2015 release notes. Can Intel's HD 520 driver be used with the Yoga 900?   I can uninstall the Lenovo driver and then install the Intel driver but don't want to risk messing something up if it won't work. Thanks, John

  • Issue#111755: Lenovo - Yoga 900 Screen issue after waking up from sleep

I have recently bought a Yoga 900 and run into a weird problem after waking up from sleep. For the first few times, waking up does not present a problem. But, every now and then the screen will be brightly coloured  as seen here. Does anyone else have this problem? I have run windows updates and  the display driver is also up to date. Could this be a problem with the screen cable not being correctly positioned?

  • Issue#264967: Lenovo - Lenovo Yoga 900 Windows 10 Intel Graphics 520 VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (igdkmd64.sys) BSOD

Hi,I just recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 900 Laptop that came with the Intel 520 graphics card and Windows 10. I have begun to realize a re-occurring issue where I receive a Blue Screen of Death error (stop error) whenever I am trying to edit a video with adobe premiere pro or sometimes when I am playing games. The error is VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (igdkmd64.sys). Each time this happens I have to restart my edit or my game because my computer must reboot and it makes me want to scream . After frantically looking for solutions on the internet I got nothing that worked except for disabling the driver, which is OK, but I can't help but feel angry that I don't get to use my new graphics card to its full potential... So, is this problem solvable? I have tried uninstalling the driver and restarting my computer, but that did not work. Is this something I will just have to live with until an updated driver or windows 10 update is released? It just hurts that whenever I play a game or edit I have to di

  • Issue#376915: Lenovo - Yoga 900 - Ghost Touches Issue

Ghost Touches - I see phisical touches on the screen when I am not touching it. It looks very similar to what you see in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ooSJdcRqyo It mostly occures when the laptop resumes from sleep or extended use. This makes the laptop unusabble and I have to hard reset to get it working properly again.  I have contacted Lenovo 3 times (Every time they have been very friendly and helpful. They also call me imedietly)Call 1 - I let them remote into the laptop. They uinstalled and re-installed some drivers and asked me to try it out. The issues were still there within a day. Call 2 - I reported the issue is still there. They remoted back in. Tried an update on the panel that did not apply. They informed me that the panel was defective and I would need to send it in. They asked me to carry it into my local Best Buy Geek Squad. They sent it to Kentucky for repairs. (I updated the bios, drivers, and reset the device) Geek S

  • Issue#479736: Lenovo - Yoga 900 issue: the power port cannot read flash drive or charge my phone

Hi all: This is my first time here and I really need help with this issue. I know that the power port for yoga 900 is a combination AC power / USB 2.0 port. When I bought it I can successfully use that port to read flash drives and charge my phone. Recently it cannot support USB function (cannot read flash drive or charge my phone). I am pretty sure it is not a hardware issue becasue this problem occurred after I adjusted some settings to resolve another problem (the laptop will wake up several minutes after I enter sleep mode). It is likely that some changes I made caused this problem, but I really cannot remember exactly what I did  I tried many options to fix this problem but none of them work. I tried to use device manager and registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR) but it didn't help. It seems that the solutions I found online only apply to a standard USB port, not a combination of power and USB port that my Yoga 900 has.&nb

  • Issue#562682: Lenovo - Yoga 900 Heat Issue

I just got my new Yoga 900 laptop. Everything looks good except I find the laptop is heating very fast and consistently throughout the use of it. I feel not comfortable if putting the base on my thigh. I feel hot when touching the base around the hinge. I search the solution and though the updated BIOS should resolve the heat and fan issue. However, this does not solve my problem.  Is there anyone has this similar issue? How to solve it?

Hi all, Trying to install Windows 10 from scratch after formatting SSD. Are the following screenshots something typical for you? The form size is about 1/10 the usual size which makes you unable to see anything unless you squeeze your eyes into the screen. The boot USB usb is working well on all my other machines. Also after installation the display is OK.  ï»¿ï»¿ï»¿

  • Issue#701796: Lenovo - Yoga 900 - BIOS update for setting RAID mode for missing hard drive on linux install

Hi, I am attempting to install ubuntu 16.04 on my yoga 900. The bios can see the 512 gb samsung hard drive and so can Windows. The ubuntu installer can not see it at all. I believe this has to do with the sata mode on the bios. Unfortuneatly there is no option to change it from RAID to AHCI or disabled. Will there be a BIOS update for this in the near future? Or is there another work around?

Danke schonmal

  • Issue#801867: Lenovo - Yoga 900 fan issue fixed ?

Hello! I 'm interested in purchasing a Lenovo yoga 900. Searching for many days my options was Spectre x360, surface pro 4, or yoga 900. I really had bad experience from hp fan laptops...really noisy and was hot enough to fry eggs. Also sp4 is quite expensive and read that have issues with fan. My previous laptop was a Lenovo g580. I loved it, because it was really silent.  Even in a silent room nothing heard. So decided that Lenovo yoga 900 was the best option for me but I wonder if noisy fan fixed with the bios update? Could somebody confirm? And something else is screen protector included in box?

  • Issue#867867: Lenovo - Yoga 2 11 - Driver Issue - Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Manager

I have done a clean install of Windows 10. In Device Manager all drivers are present except for the Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Manager (see attached picture). There are three other drivers present for DPTF, but the DPTF Manager has issue. If I double-click on the entry, a message displays saying the device cannot start (error 10) and the process hosting the driver for this device has terminated. I have tried updating the driver to no avail. I have also downloaded the DPTF driver from the Lenovo website. However, when I try to install it a message displays saying the Realtek bluetooth device will not work on this version of Windows. For information, every chipset driver reports this message on installation.I would be grateful of some help to get the driver for DPTF Manager installed/working. Before the clean install of W10, I am pretty sure all was OK with DPTF drivers.Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you.

  • Issue#1046674: Lenovo - Yoga 900 Display Issue Solved...

... by accepting and installing the new Windows 10 Home update to Version 1607! Don't know why, but Microsoft fixed something in graphics that allows instant, proper switch back and forth between the built-in display and my external display. And, as a bonus, the external desktop even looks just like the built-in - just bigger - with no monster icons! My setup is:Yoga 900-131SK (Win 10 Home x64 - 16 GB - 512 GB - All Lenovo S/W updated installed)Sceptre XG22 (w/ DVI to HDMI cable)Cable Matters USC-C Multiport Adapter w/ Ethernet (linked to my 900 with a 3' USB-C extension cable - >$15 from Amazon.com)Plugable 7-Port USB 3.0 HubMicrosoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse - BluetoothTargus ADB33USX Keyboard - Bluetooth New Version 1607 worked for me. I recommend it!

  • Issue#1047953: Lenovo - Lenovo Yoga 900 Display Issue after reboot

Something odd.  I got the Windows 10 Anniversary Update a couple of days ago (Aug 3 2016).I usually keep my screen resolution at 1600x900 (easier on my aging eyes for everyday use). Now I have noticed that when I reboot, my login screen is garbled - only the top-left quarter of the login screen can be seen.  I need to shutdown and restart, and then all is fine. This only happens after a full reboot (not a hibernate), and only seems to be the 1600x900 resolution. 3200x1800 (the native resolution) and 1920x1080 do not seem to exhibit this issue.Note that all three of the above-mentioned resolutions have the same aspect ratio Any ideas?  Is it just me? Thanks!

I hope somebody can help me with this problem I have with my Thinkpad Yoga 15 (20DQ001KUS).I have upgraded it to windows 10 and all was running fine in the beginning but now I received ‘the blue screen’ all the time and  the computer does not restart normally after it. If I disable the Nvidia Geforce 840M graphic card (and just use the Intel HD graphics 5500) I don’t receive the errors. I have tried already many things with updating and rolling back drivers for the Geforce card. But it keeps giving problems. All other drivers are also up to date…. Thank you very much in advance! I have received the following error messages on the windows 10 blue screen:video_scheduler_internal_errorDPC_watchdog_violationvideo_management_internalvideo_DXGKRNL_fatal_errorAnd here are the results of the diagnostic scan (I also performed the separate motherboard diagnostic scan and it passed fully): ========================================================== Lenovo Solution

  • Issue#3956: Lenovo - Yoga 2 Pro 4200U Enters Bios Settings Every Reboot

When trying to troubleshoot a Yoga 2 Pro 4200U for a family member we decided to do a factory reset of the machine. After resetting it to factory settings, every time we reboot the beeps and shows "Entering Setup" at the Lenovo splash screen, then enters the Bios "Thinkpad Setup". No matter what changes we make to the settings, exiting and saving changes reboots the computer and sends us back into the Bios. The only way to get Windows to boot is to click "Exit Discarding Changes". Windows boots successfully then, so the computer is functional, but it is still quite an annoyance that you have to enter then exit the Bios utility every time you restart the computer. Google Fu only turned up scattered related issues, some of them pointing to the potential of a bad main batter pack or CMOS battery, with something related to the motherboard not knowing what Date/Time it is. Is there any likelihood that this is actually correct? I'm loathe to blame hardware that was working perfectly fin
