  • Issue#322866: Lenovo - Yoga 900 Intel Driver Issue - Windows 10 Maps

According to Intel, the Yoga 900 uses a customized computer manufacturer video driver for the Intel HD 520 graphics chipset.  Intel's standard driver (15.40.14.64.3452 released 12/22/2015) appears to address an issue I am experiencing with Microsoft's Windows 10 Map application as well as a map-based application I personally am developing that relies upon the same map control that their map application uses.  The current Lenovo driver (20.19.15.4326) is dated 11/18/2015 so I am fairly confident it doesn't have the 'fix' reported in Intel's 12/22/2015 release notes. Can Intel's HD 520 driver be used with the Yoga 900?   I can uninstall the Lenovo driver and then install the Intel driver but don't want to risk messing something up if it won't work. Thanks, John

  • Issue#867867: Lenovo - Yoga 2 11 - Driver Issue - Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Manager

I have done a clean install of Windows 10. In Device Manager all drivers are present except for the Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Manager (see attached picture). There are three other drivers present for DPTF, but the DPTF Manager has issue. If I double-click on the entry, a message displays saying the device cannot start (error 10) and the process hosting the driver for this device has terminated. I have tried updating the driver to no avail. I have also downloaded the DPTF driver from the Lenovo website. However, when I try to install it a message displays saying the Realtek bluetooth device will not work on this version of Windows. For information, every chipset driver reports this message on installation.I would be grateful of some help to get the driver for DPTF Manager installed/working. Before the clean install of W10, I am pretty sure all was OK with DPTF drivers.Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you.

I hope somebody can help me with this problem I have with my Thinkpad Yoga 15 (20DQ001KUS).I have upgraded it to windows 10 and all was running fine in the beginning but now I received ‘the blue screen’ all the time and  the computer does not restart normally after it. If I disable the Nvidia Geforce 840M graphic card (and just use the Intel HD graphics 5500) I don’t receive the errors. I have tried already many things with updating and rolling back drivers for the Geforce card. But it keeps giving problems. All other drivers are also up to date…. Thank you very much in advance! I have received the following error messages on the windows 10 blue screen:video_scheduler_internal_errorDPC_watchdog_violationvideo_management_internalvideo_DXGKRNL_fatal_errorAnd here are the results of the diagnostic scan (I also performed the separate motherboard diagnostic scan and it passed fully): ========================================================== Lenovo Solution

  • Issue#3956: Lenovo - Yoga 2 Pro 4200U Enters Bios Settings Every Reboot

When trying to troubleshoot a Yoga 2 Pro 4200U for a family member we decided to do a factory reset of the machine. After resetting it to factory settings, every time we reboot the beeps and shows "Entering Setup" at the Lenovo splash screen, then enters the Bios "Thinkpad Setup". No matter what changes we make to the settings, exiting and saving changes reboots the computer and sends us back into the Bios. The only way to get Windows to boot is to click "Exit Discarding Changes". Windows boots successfully then, so the computer is functional, but it is still quite an annoyance that you have to enter then exit the Bios utility every time you restart the computer. Google Fu only turned up scattered related issues, some of them pointing to the potential of a bad main batter pack or CMOS battery, with something related to the motherboard not knowing what Date/Time it is. Is there any likelihood that this is actually correct? I'm loathe to blame hardware that was working perfectly fin

  • Issue#6237: Lenovo - y40 70 .78ghz bios issue

I'm trying to find out if anyone knows when/if lenovo is planning to get a bios update out out for these laptops to address the processor stuck at .78ghz while running on battery proglem. It appears to be an identical issue that the Z510 guys have been fighting with in this 40 page long post. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-P-Y-and-Z-series/Re-Lenovo-Z510-CPU-stuck-at-0-77GHz/td-p/1470066/page/39 I have confirmed it appears to be a very similar issue as throttlestop will resolve the issue when checking the 'prochot' checkbox, but this is not a viable/safe long term solution to the problem. If we can't get this issue resolve, i'm going to have several dozen of these laptops we are going to scrap and replace and I'm really not wanting to have to do that.

  • Issue#6776: Lenovo v470 - Intel Graphics Drivers Issue

I'm having display issues with my v470 laptop when I install Intel Graphics drivers. After few mins of using the laptop, the display gets distorted and locks up the laptop. I have to power off the laptop every time. I tried installing the Intel Onbroad Graphics drivers that's available from Lenovo's website. I also try install the latest Intel HD Graphics 3000 drivers from Intel website. I ran memtest successfully without any errors.  The odd part is whenever I uninstall the Intel Graphics drivers the issue goes away.  This is how the display looks - http://s17.postimg.org/a5pxr5uvj/IMG_0056.jpg Specs: i5 2410M8 gigs RAMWin 7 Ultimate x64 Any help would be appreciated. • Issue#23534: Lenovo - G500- Windows 10 - Intel Rapid Storage Technology Error

I have been getting BSOD errors for IRQ Not Less than or Equal, Driver Power State Failure, critical process died, and inaccessible boot device.  I provided my mini dump file to tenforums and one of the issues besides updating drivers that may be corrupt was to check the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver. I also frequently get errors from Intel Rapid Storage Technology.  When I go into the program I don't see an error.  Your website doesn't have Windows 10 drivers.  Can I download the latest driver from intel?  It says to go to the computer manufacturer.  It also describes updating the firmware.  Please advise what I need to do to correct this. Thanks.  Marc

Hello, I've been trying to find a solution to an issue that I have been having with my laptop for the last couple of months, I've made a video of the issue to try and explain/show what is happening.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcPESDAiojM The compute squeals every time I close the lid or press on it. • Issue#54233: Lenovo - Yoga 14 (20FY0002US) wont come on after 1.18 Bios update

I downloaded the Bios via Lenovo's site on my Yoga.  The Yoga was plugged in and the utility ran as expected.  After it restarted, it never came back.  The Function key was lit green and the keyboard would light up but the screen is black and it won't boot.  How can I troubleshoot? I already turned it off (after letting it sit there for a long time) and I get the same result.   I also tried unplugging it and hitting the reset button.  Still the same, its like it went into hibernation.  The power button is still on.

  • Issue#61914: Lenovo - Yoga 2 13 - Intel VGA driver

Hello, how is it possible from a manufacturer point of view that VGA driver is not update since 2014? At Lenovo site, the last Intel VGA for the laptop is from 8/10/2014 and ready for Windows 8.1. It is very annoying that Lenovo is not paying enough attention to this. At the very same time, I cannot install the Intel driver due to incompatibility. If Lenovo was not ready for Windows 10, why are we being offered to upgrade? Very unprofessional. Cheers.

  • Issue#111755: Lenovo - Yoga 900 Screen issue after waking up from sleep

I have recently bought a Yoga 900 and run into a weird problem after waking up from sleep. For the first few times, waking up does not present a problem. But, every now and then the screen will be brightly coloured  as seen here. Does anyone else have this problem? I have run windows updates and  the display driver is also up to date. Could this be a problem with the screen cable not being correctly positioned?

  • Issue#132255: Lenovo - Yoga 2 Pro - do you update drivers from Intel's website?

I find it a bit annoying that Lenovo has not bothered to update drivers since the initial release of Windows 10.  I would have expected another update to work out any kinks I've been trying to use updated drivers on Intel's website but it looks like the utility gets confused with versoin numbers and it's not clear what should be installed.  I'm still dealing with screen flickering issues even after installing what looks like are the latest drivers so I'm trying to revert now

A few months ago I decided to install Ubuntu. I really liked it but the wireless connection dropped a lot. It got so frustrating that I reinstalled Windows. On Windows the connection never drops. • Issue#163048: Lenovo - Yoga 14 latest NVIDIA driver not compatible with latest 1.3 bios?

I am trying to get this Yoga 14 up to date.  First, I was surprised that runs Windows 10 home vs. pro but that is what it is. However here is my question. The bios on the unit as shipped is 1.2 and is from the JFET43WW family. The latest bios listed is 1.3 from the R05ETxxW family (per the readme) and the filename is r05uj03ww.  Perhaps this is Lenovo's way, but all the prior bios history for that family is under JFETxxWW. Is this the right bios? The latest NIVIDA/Intel driver listed states that " *This driver can be only used on ThinkPad S3 Yoga 14 Broadwell(BIOS ID:JFETxxWW)". So.....can the latest video driver be used with the latest bios which per the readme (and filename) is NOT from the JFETxxWW family? Hopefully I am posting in the right place.  I have been underwhelmed with phone support where "hardware" support will only answer hardware questions and "software support" is "premium" and they want you to pay when this system is only a

  • Issue#170394: Lenovo - Ideapad Y700 BIOS upgrade did not fix the Black screen issue

I was really hoping Lenovo would prove to have kept the IBM support, along with the brand names.  I was wrong.  This is not cool.  At this point, I am unwilling to recommend Lenovo products to anyone.  The reason being:  This issue has been known for how many months?  And I paid how much for a sweet gaming laptop?  I guess I should have paid more fo the Toshiba laptop, though it wouldn't look as cool.  I'll take anything that works as long as it works over something that claims to work.

  • Issue#192265: Lenovo - Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13 Issue

Hi, My name is jenny , i am having a major issue with my Lenovo Ideapad yoga 13 and was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose the problem. First the problem started when the laptop refused to turn on.So the lenovo laptop will not power up whatsoever even with a charger plugged in or with the battery removed and the charger plugged in. I replaced the battery and it turned on immidently but the battery slowly died and refused to charge. Now i am back to square one. I replaced the internal power jack where you plug the charger in and it still will not turn on and there is no lights indicating any power at all. Is is possible that a internal power cord can cause a battery to stop charging. Does anyone knwo what this could be? I know the computer motherboard is ok because when i replaced the battery the computer came on right away and the computer was fine but the battery refuses to charge.
